Brief description (teaching CV):

Proffesor Engineer by the School of Mines and Energy, he currently has 4 five-year teaching periods. Since 2019 he is a member of the Educational Innovation Group (GIE) EXGEOMET, although he has participated and promoted educational innovation projects since 2010. He is the head of the Geology Laboratory and the Biomolecular Stratigraphy Laboratory at ETSIME.

His research focuses on the application and/or development of ICT (videos, software, virtual reality, etc) in teaching improvement with the combined use of inverted classroom and gamification.

He has directed six educational innovation projects funded by the UPM and has participated in other 3. During these years he has published two JCR articles in educational innovation journals and other 2 articles in other journals. He has also participated in several international conferences on educational innovation, having presented 14 oral communications.

He has been a member of the Scientific Committee in international educational innovation congresses and reviewer of 10 papers. He has participated in more than 40 courses on educational innovation. He is the author of 8 digital educational books related to Geology.

He has coordinated the Degree in Geological Engineering of the UPM and the Master's Degree in Geological Engineering of the UPM for 4 years.

He has received awards for his teaching work granted by the ETSIME Alumni Delegation, having received several positive Evaluations since 2017.

He annually organizes dissemination and learning activities in the field of Geology.
